Giving Tuesday & Cups for a Cause

Cups for a Cause Program

Chuck E. Cheese’s is proud to be one of the official partners of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. For more than 150 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of America has enabled young people most in need to achieve great futures as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Today, more than 4,300 Clubs serve 4 million young people annually through Club membership and community outreach. Through our network of 500 restaurants, we work to drive customer engagement in support of the BGCA mission. One of our initiatives for 2018 included a fall campaign called “Cups for a Cause,” where guests could purchase a collectible cup, and a portion of the proceeds benefited BGCA. Between our spring campaign and Cups for a Cause, we exceeded our donation goal for the year with BGCA, raising over $137K for the U.S. clubs.

Our goal as a kid-focused business is to help all current and future Boys & Girls Club members reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Learn more about BGCA in your community to get further involved, or read more about our BGCA partnership.

Giving Tuesday History

Giving Tuesday, or National Giving Day, takes place on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the United States following the shopping frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This is an online movement started in 2012 to encourage charitable donations and charitable giving during the holiday season. During a time of year heavily focused on spending and gifting, Giving Tuesday also reminds all of us it’s important to also take time to give back to our communities.
