A week ago my mom came to visit from Mexico. Having her here has been a super special way to celebrate Jaxon’s birthday!

We celebrated Jaxon’s birthday in one of his favorite spots, our local Chuck E. Cheese’s. The best part was probably being able to make a reservation like a month or two before, and forget about it until two days before the party.
My mom really appreciated that Chuck E. Cheese let us add a touch of personalization to our party with our own DIY goodie bags, themed balloons, party hats, themed cake and other decorations that Jaxon asked her to bring from Mexico and that featured his favorite book characters.
We got a boxes of chalk as party favors for each of our guests and Jaxon really wanted to have an ice cream cake, but we easily could have ordered everything straight from Chuck E. Cheese’s, from goody bags and balloons to cakes since they have all of that in store too. Anyway, it was nice to know that we could easily decide from all the options or packages that they offered that fit our budget.
The day of the party we got to Chuck E. Cheese’s twenty minutes before our event. We played some games with Jaxon and then got our special tables ten minutes before the event started. Our dedicated host handled everything from ordering the food for us, added extra kids to our event, bringing our food, encouraging everyone to sing the happy birthday, lighting the birthday cake candles, slicing the cake for each guest, to clean-up and even storing our leftover cake in the freezer until we left.
I totally recommend hosting your next kid’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese’s. It’s so simple and the kids love it! If you have older kids you should consider getting the Mega Super Star Birthday Package, which includes All You Can Play games for each child in your party at all corporate Chuck E.
